Welcoming Tom Goldsmith - Meta AR veteran to the ShopAR team

DeepAR/ShopAR is pleased to announce Tom Goldsmith is joining as Director of Product. Tom is an AR veteran and experienced technologist who has built product at truly global scale. Tom will lead product for DeepAR with a focus on making the ShopAR 3D + AR platform a vital part of the e-commerce machine for retailers everywhere. 

Tom comes to DeepAR/ShopAR from Meta, where he was most recently a lead product manager who had worked on almost every part of the AR platform known publicly as Spark. Over his 5-year tenure at Meta, he supported the launch of the world’s largest AR platform, delivering AR to over a billion people.

Prior to Meta, Tom worked as an in house PM creating new businesses for the incubator and advising the accelerator companies for Founders Factory. Since 2015, Founders Factory’s 300 portfolio companies have raised $800mm follow-on capital. He has also been an entrepreneur, his own business, Flexi, was a platform enabling anyone to discover fitness classes that suit them and instantly book without a membership. Flexi had over 3,000 classes a week in London when it was acquired in 2017. Tom also had roles at Edtech startups, Marketing service providers and even recruitment, giving him an exceptionally well rounded background.
